As we may notice today, the earth’s temperature seems getting warmer and warmer in every years that pass. This is because of what we called global warming. But what is a global warming? Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth’s near-surface air and oceans. Because of this global warming the ice caps in the north and in the South Pole are now starting to melt that causing the sea water level to increase. The major cause of global warming is the extreme pile up of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere that causes green house effect. The cars that we drive to and from work each day and take with us on vacations every year emit CO2.  In fact the pollution from cars is one of the greatest CO2 causes of global warming on the planet.  Millions of cars are driven each day and people all over the world are reliant upon them.  In an attempt to ease the pollution that cars produce, many manufactures are turning to hybrid cars that do not rely so heavily on gasoline. Another huge cause of CO2 global warming comes from power plants.  A great deal of the overall CO2 that is emitted into the atmosphere comes from power plants that burn fossil fuels. These are the two most common souse of CO2 that results to global warming.
